Robert Griffin III to be on cover of EA Sports’ NCAA Football 13
Kevin Figgers | February 27, 2012 | NCAA FBThings couldn’t be going much better for Baylor University at the moment. The men’s basketball team has been ranked in the top 15 all season, the women’s basketball team is undefeated and likely has the best player in the country in Brittney Griner, and the football team made a resurgence this past season under the guise of Heisman trophy winner, Robert Griffin III.
Well, Griffin and Baylor now have another accolade to add to their list of accomplishments over the last year and a half. Griffin was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show and announced that he will be enshrined in video game lore.
Im back in Waco, i’m going to be the cover athlete for NCAA Football 13. I’m really excited about that. I’m on Baylor’s campus getting ready to do a lot of press, bring a lot of attention back to Baylor university.”
It goes without saying that this marks the first time that a Baylor athlete has graced the cover of a video game. For Griffin, its just another in a long line of individual accolades that will culminate with him being a likely top 3 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
